Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 steak
  • oil for frying
  • 1 sourdough baguette
  • 2 mozzarella cheese slices
  • 1 handful rockets leaves
  • 1 small red onion carmelised
  • 1 sachet Fused Teriyaki Stir Fry Sauce

Instructions

  • Remove the steak from the fridge about 20 minutes before cooking. This helps it cook more evenly.
  • Heat a little oil in a non-stick frying pan over a high heat.
  • Add the steak to the hot pan and seal on both sides.
  • Pour over the Fused Teriyaki Stir Fry Sauce, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for a few minutes so the steak soaks up all that rich, savoury flavour.
  • Remove the steak from the pan and slice into thin strips.
  • Leave the teriyaki sauce in the pan over a low heat for another minute or two, until it thickens slightly and turns lovely and glossy.
  • Slice the baguette and layer with mozzarella, teriyaki steak strips, caramelised red onion and rocket.
  • Generously drizzle the thickened teriyaki sauce over the fillings.
  • Serve with any extra teriyaki sauce on the side for dipping or drizzling.

Notes

Tip

Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing. It keeps the meat juicy and makes every bite more tender.
