Fiona recently appeared on The Today Show with Dáithí to celebrate National Women’s Enterprise Day, where she shared the inspiring story behind Fused.
After studying Japanese in college and spending several years living in Japan and travelling around Asia, Fiona returned home to Ireland missing the vibrant flavours of Asia. Unable to find good quality and tasty Asian sauces, she began creating her own sauces – and Fused was born. Starting out by selling in local shops, Fiona’s clean-label, natural sauces quickly resonated with customers seeking healthier, flavour-packed options.
She spoke about the hard work, patience, and resilience needed to build a business from the ground up, and the invaluable support she received from the Local Enterprise Office in Kildare, which provided training, mentorship, and a strong network of like-minded entrepreneurs.
